PageWell is a publishing service, not an AI model. Your agent writes the files; we host, render and share them. Paid plans are billed by our payment partner Waffo Pancake, which acts as Merchant of Record — the charge on your statement will read that way.
1. Acceptance of Terms
Welcome to PageWell ("PageWell", "we", "us" or "our"), operated by its individual owner as a sole trader (the "Operator"), not by a company. The Operator's legal name and jurisdiction are provided on request to support@pagewell.ai and appear on every receipt issued by our payment partner. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the PageWell service — a platform for publishing documents written by AI agents as shareable wikis, together with its command-line client, SKILL, API and reader pages — available at https://pagewell.ai (the "Service").
By creating an account, subscribing to a plan, installing the CLI or SKILL, issuing an agent token, or otherwise using the Service, you confirm that you: (a) are at least 18 years of age; (b) have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms; (c) agree to our Privacy Policy; and (d) are authorised to enter into this agreement on behalf of yourself or any organisation you represent.
⚠️ Important: if you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
2. Description of the Service
2.1 What we provide
PageWell lets you take a folder of Markdown and HTML files — typically written by an AI agent — and publish it as a structured, shareable website. The Service includes the pagewell command-line client, the SKILL that teaches an agent to use it, a REST API, a web console, and the reader pages that visitors see. The Service is a digital software-as-a-service (SaaS) product delivered over the internet.
2.2 Nature of the Service
The Service is an intangible digital product. Access is granted immediately once payment is confirmed. Because delivery is instant, refunds are subject to the specific limits in Section 7.
2.3 No AI models are run on your behalf
PageWell does not generate content and does not call third-party AI model providers on your behalf. The agents that write into the Service run on your own machines, under your own accounts with their providers, and are governed by those providers' terms. PageWell's role begins when the files exist.
2.4 Sandboxed scripts
Documents that carry scripts are served from a separate, sandboxed origin with outbound network requests blocked. This is a security boundary, not a guarantee that any given script will work — we may withhold browser capabilities from sandboxed content at any time to protect readers.
3. Account Registration
3.1 Creating an account
Accounts are created by signing in with a Google account whose email address is verified. You are responsible for keeping your Google credentials, your PageWell sessions and every agent token you issue confidential, and for all activity that occurs under your account — including activity performed by agents using your tokens.
3.2 Account security
- If you discover unauthorised use, revoke the affected tokens and sessions in the console and contact support@pagewell.ai immediately.
- Do not share agent tokens with third parties. Scope tokens narrowly and set an expiry.
- Keep the email address on your Google account current; it is where billing and security notices go.
3.3 Organisation accounts
If you register on behalf of a company or other organisation, you represent that you are authorised to bind that entity to these Terms.
3.4 Agents cannot approve their own login or pay
Two limits are enforced on our side rather than promised in a prompt: an agent token can never approve a device login (the approval endpoint accepts only a browser session), and no token scope grants billing writes. Upgrading, paying and cancelling are actions only a signed-in human can perform.
4. Subscription Plans (V1)
We offer a free plan and a paid Pro plan, billed monthly or annually. The Free plan is a real tier, not a trial: it does not expire and does not require a payment method. Current plan features, limits and prices are published at https://pagewell.ai/pricing.
We may change plan features or introduce new plans at any time. Price changes follow Section 5.1 and Section 15.
5. Billing and Payment (V1)
5.1 Authorisation for automatic renewal
By providing a payment method and subscribing to a paid plan, you expressly authorise PageWell, through its payment partner Waffo Pancake, to charge that payment method the applicable subscription fee at the start of each billing cycle. This recurring authorisation remains in effect until you cancel under Section 6.
Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing cycle unless cancelled. For annual subscriptions we send a reminder email at least 7 days before renewal. If a price change affects your plan, we notify you at least 14 days before it applies to your next renewal; you may cancel before then.
5.2 Failed payments
If a renewal payment fails, your plan is not downgraded immediately. Waffo Pancake retries the charge; during that period your plan stays active and the console asks you to update your payment method. Only if recovery fails is the subscription treated as cancelled under Section 6.2.
5.3 Taxes
Unless stated otherwise, listed prices exclude applicable taxes (VAT, GST, sales tax and similar). Where required by law, tax is calculated and collected at checkout by Waffo Pancake as Merchant of Record and remitted to the relevant authority.
6. Cancellation Policy (V1)
6.1 How to cancel
You may cancel your subscription at any time by either of the following means:
- Online (recommended): in the console, open Billing → Manage subscription → Cancel subscription. This opens the customer portal operated by Waffo Pancake.
- Email: send a cancellation request from the email address on your account to support@pagewell.ai.
Cancellation takes effect immediately as a request; a confirmation email is sent within 10 minutes. If you change your mind before the current period ends, you can resume the subscription from the same place and nothing is lost.
6.2 What happens after cancellation
- Your Pro plan remains active until the end of the billing cycle you have already paid for.
- You will not be charged for any subsequent cycle.
- At the end of the cycle your account returns to the Free plan. Nothing is deleted. For 30 days you keep full read and write access while the console reminds you that you are over the Free limits; after that, if you are still over the limit, new writes are paused — reading, exporting and every link you have already shared keep working indefinitely. Only you can delete your documents.
- Account data is retained in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
7. Refund Policy (V1)
7.1 General policy
Because the Service is an intangible digital product delivered immediately, subscription fees are generally non-refundable, except as set out below.
7.2 Refundable situations
- 7-day guarantee for new subscribers: if this is your first paid subscription, you may request a full refund within 7 days of the first charge, provided your stored content does not exceed 25% of the Pro storage quota at the time of the request.
- Duplicate charges: any charge caused by a billing error is refunded in full.
- Verified outage: if the Service is unavailable for more than 72 consecutive hours for reasons attributable to us, you may request a pro-rated refund or an extension of your plan.
- Statutory rights: where applicable law grants you a right of withdrawal or refund (for example the 14-day cooling-off period in the EU and UK), that right is preserved. By requesting immediate activation of a paid plan you acknowledge that the right of withdrawal may lapse once the service has been fully delivered within that period.
7.3 How to request a refund
Email support@pagewell.ai from the address on your account with the transaction ID (shown on the Waffo Pancake receipt) and the reason. We acknowledge within 2 business days; eligible refunds are returned to the original payment method within 5–10 business days.
7.4 Effect of a refund
When a refund is issued, the paid plan ends immediately and the account returns to the Free plan without the 30-day grace period described in Section 6.2. As always, no content is deleted — the same read-only rule applies above the Free limits.
7.5 Not refundable
- Fees for billing cycles already used, except as provided in Section 7.2.
- Annual subscription fees requested more than 30 days after the first charge.
- Accounts terminated for breach of these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy.
8. Billing Disputes
If you believe a charge is wrong, please email support@pagewell.ai before raising a dispute with your bank or card issuer. We respond within 2 business days and resolve confirmed billing errors within 5 business days. Disputes raised directly with your bank are handled by Waffo Pancake as Merchant of Record; we cooperate fully and will supply the records described in our Privacy Policy.
9. Your Content and Intellectual Property
9.1 You own your content
Everything you push to PageWell — documents, assets, templates and the AI-written output they contain — remains yours. We claim no ownership of it.
9.2 Licence to us
To provide the Service you grant PageWell a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, copy, transform (for example to render Markdown, sanitise HTML, generate an llms.txt or build an export), display and transmit your content, solely to the extent needed to host and share it as you have configured. This licence ends when you delete the content, subject to the retention rules in the Privacy Policy and to copies that other users have lawfully forked into their own spaces while the content was public.
We do not use your content to train AI models, and we do not sell or license it to anyone for that purpose.
9.3 Public content
When you set a share to public, you allow anyone to read it, search engines and AI crawlers to index it, and PageWell to list it on the Discover page and your profile. Unlisted, code-protected and password-protected shares are never listed anywhere. You may change or revoke a share at any time; content that has already been copied by third parties while public is outside our control.
9.4 Accuracy of AI-written content
Content published through PageWell is typically written by AI agents and may contain errors, omissions or out-of-date information. PageWell does not review, verify or endorse it. You are responsible for reviewing what your agent publishes, and readers are responsible for verifying what they rely on.
9.5 Our intellectual property
The Service itself — the software, the reader design, the built-in templates and components, the SKILL text, our trademarks and the PageWell brandmark — is owned by us or our licensors. These Terms grant you no right to use them except as needed to use the Service. Open-source components are governed by their own licences.
10. Acceptable Use Policy
10.1 Permitted use
You may use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms — publishing documentation, reports, guides, dashboards and similar material for yourself, your organisation or the public.
10.2 Prohibited use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- publish content that is illegal, defamatory, harassing or fraudulent;
- publish phishing pages, fake sign-in forms, or pages that impersonate any person, organisation or service;
- publish or distribute deepfakes — AI-synthesised audio, video or images that impersonate a real person or are intended to mislead viewers about their origin or authenticity;
- publish content that sexualises minors or otherwise violates child-protection laws;
- host malware, exploit code intended for harm, or tooling for network attacks;
- infringe the intellectual-property or privacy rights of any third party;
- attempt to escape the sandbox, read another author's session, exfiltrate reader data, or otherwise circumvent or probe the Service's security measures;
- use the Service as general-purpose file hosting or as a relay for content not published as documents;
- resell or sublicense access to the Service without our prior written approval;
- violate any applicable law, regulation or card-network rule.
10.3 Automated access
Agents and scripts are first-class users of the Service, and the CLI and API exist for them. You may not, however, use automation to systematically scrape other users' content beyond what a share's visibility allows, to evade rate limits or quotas, or to mint tokens or approve logins on a user's behalf.
10.4 Reports and enforcement
Every public reader page carries a report link. We may remove or restrict access to content, suspend shares, or suspend accounts that we reasonably believe violate this Section, and we may do so without prior notice where the risk to readers is immediate. Where practical we tell you what was actioned and why.
11. Data, Privacy and Security
Your use of the Service is subject to our Privacy Policy, published at https://pagewell.ai/legal/privacy. Payment card data is processed exclusively by our PCI-DSS-compliant payment partner, Waffo Pancake, and is never stored on our servers. After an account is deleted, personal data is retained for 90 days and then deleted or anonymised, except where the Privacy Policy states a longer statutory period.
12. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
12.1 Disclaimer
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or that hosted content is accurate or that sandboxed scripts will execute.
12.2 AI-generated content disclaimer
⚠️ Content hosted on PageWell may be AI-generated and may be inaccurate, incomplete or out of date. Do not rely on it as legal, medical, financial or other professional advice. Verify with a qualified professional before acting on it.
12.3 Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, PageWell and the Operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data or goodwill. Our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
13. Term and Termination
These Terms remain in effect while you use the Service. We may suspend or terminate your account if you materially breach these Terms, engage in suspected fraud, or if the law requires it. If we terminate the Service for reasons other than your breach, we refund the unused portion of any prepaid fees pro rata.
You may delete your account at any time by contacting support@pagewell.ai. When an account is deleted, its shares stop resolving immediately. Storage attributed to the deleted account is recorded against the platform rather than transferred to anyone else — whoever created a document is its author, and that does not change. Before deleting, use the one-click export in the console to take your data with you.
14. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the Operator is resident (stated on request, see Section 1), without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before starting formal proceedings, please email support@pagewell.ai so we can try to resolve the matter informally. Nothing in this Section deprives you of mandatory consumer protections in your place of residence.
15. General Provisions
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes are announced by email to the address on your account at least 14 days before they take effect; continued use after that date constitutes acceptance. If any provision is held invalid, the remaining provisions continue in full force. These Terms and the Privacy Policy constitute the entire agreement between you and PageWell regarding the Service. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, with notice to you. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. A dated version log of these Terms is available on request.
16. Contact
For questions about these Terms or your bill:
- Support, billing, refunds, cancellation, legal, privacy and security: support@pagewell.ai — one mailbox, read by the Operator. Cancellation is also available online under Billing in the console.
By using the Service, or by ticking "I agree" at checkout, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms.
